Vojislav Stanovcic Ph.D. (Serbian Cyrillic: ) was born on July 2, 1930 in Ubli, near Herceg-Novi, Montenegro. He is one of the leading Serbian political scientists and theorists and a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU).He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Belgrade University (1955), continued graduate studies of the theory of law, and received Ph. D. degree in Political Science from Belgrade University in 1965 with the dissertation Industrial democracy Ideas in British Socio-Political Theories .
